Ind. Rep. Proposes Bill to Require Colts Team to Refund Fans Over Anthem Protests

I’m not a fan of this bill (pardon the pun).

What might be better is to allow the Colts to starve for lack of funding.

An Indiana congressman is proposing new legislation which would require the Indianapolis Colts to refund tickets to fans offended by players kneeling during the national anthem.

Republican Representative Milo Smith says the bill would allow fans who feel disrespected by the kneeling to ask for refunds.

He argued the bill does not violate First Amendment rights because it would not prohibit Colts players from kneeling.

It would also not require the Indianapolis team to provide refunds to fans if players on opposing teams protest the anthem at home games.

This comes after Smith went to a Colts game back in September and several players refused to stand for the anthem.
