A London lawmaker urges the Metropolitan Police to crackdown on Muslim rape gangs in the city.
U.K. Independence Party leader Peter Whittle blasted the MET commissioner and London police for failing to handle a vast majority of child-rape cases.
He claims the majority of men involved in the gangs are of south Asian and Muslim decent, and often target underage European girls and force them into prostitution.
His remarks come after a new findings revealed 93-percent of rape cases this month were not investigated properly.
“To say that I don’t recognize this situation, and to somehow smoothen over is what led, Commissioner, to thousands of young girls being shockingly abused over about 20 years at least,” stated Whittle. “If this were groups of white men abusing specifically Muslim young girls, this would be treated probably as a hate crime, and also it would be treated very specifically.”
Whittle says the situation in London may be a repeat of the Rotherham rape scandal in which more than 1,000 young women were raped by Pakistani Muslims.
