Over a metre of snow fell over parts of extreme southwestern Alberta during a major snowfall event through the weekend.

A long period of snowfall, heavy at times, began on Friday February 3, 2017 for much of southern Alberta…. produced up to an incredible 120 centimetres (47.2″) over extreme southwestern parts of the province.
