The bond was for $29 million.

What do you want to bet that they will come back in 2020 with a $19.9 million dollar option?

The Pullman Regional Hospital expansion bond has failed for a second time.

The Whitman County Auditor’s Office ran the last large batch of ballots Monday night from this month’s vote by mail election.  Staff tabulated about 500 ballots.  There are still about 40 questionable ballots remaining.

The PRH expansion bond failed to reach the 60% super majority approval needed for passage.  The bond is at 59.4% approval.  The bond failed in April when not enough voters took part in the election to validate the decision.

Pullman City Council incumbents Ann Parks and Eileen Macoll won re-election with each earning over 51% vote.

The Whitman County road levy passed with 54% of the vote.  The only small taxing district levy in Whitman County to fail was the Lamont School District levy.

The Endicott Town Council race between Andrew Wolfe and Greg Burns is tied at 49 votes a piece.  William Perry appears to have won the tight race for Palouse City Council with a 5 vote lead over Travis Tonn.  Jonathan Musson leads the race for a Uniontown Town Council seat by 3 votes over Jack Espy.

The Whitman County Canvass Board will review the questionable ballots for final tabulation on Monday.
