Washington Minimum Wage Gets First Inflation Bump on January 1

Not only are they slammed by being “non-essential” workers, now they have to pay more for low-wage labor. 

CLARKSTON, WA – This past September, the Washington Department of Labor and Industries made their first yearly cost-of-living adjustment to the minimum wage based on the federal Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers to take effect the following year.

Washington’s minimum wage will increase by 19 cents to $13.69 per hour starting January 1, 2021. This is the first increase determined by inflation rather than ballot measures, like the one that determined the increases over the past four years.
