Trying To Make Moscow Houses More Affordable

The housing prices in Moscow are artificially inflated due to the University of Idaho. The way to fix that will be intolerable to Moscow’s progressives.

Moscow has the third highest cost of living in Idaho among cities, and Latah County has the fifth highest cost of living among counties in the state, says Randy Baukol, chair of the Moscow Fair and Affordable Housing Commission.

“Moscow is a very expensive town to live in,” Baukol told the Daily News.

He said the commission is researching how to provide fair and affordable housing by looking at what has worked for other cities across the country.
