Moscow Man Pleads Guilty To Child Porn Charges

We’ll have to ask Moscow’s Intoleristas where he went to church. I’m sure they’ve investigated that.

James Pressnall pleaded guilty Tuesday to possession of sexually explicit images of minors in federal court in Coeur d’Alene, according to U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson.

The 50-year-old Moscow man agreed to a plea agreement on the charge and faces a maximum of 10 years in prison, $250,000 in fines and life on probation upon release, according to a news release from Olson. He was indicted by a federal grand jury in November.

Police were alerted of Pressnall when a Department of Homeland Security agent downloaded 35 child pornography files from Pressnal’s computer in Moscow, according to the release.

Pressnall admitted in March 2014 during a search warrant of his residence by Homeland Security and the Moscow Police Department to downloading child porn from the internet.

At that time, several computers and storage devices were seized and child pornography was located on the items, according to the release.

Sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 7, 2016, before Chief United States District Judge B. Lynn Winmill at the Coeur d’Alene federal courthouse.
