Suspects from Western Whitman County burglary spree identified and sought

The Whitman County Sheriff’s Office has identified two Clarkston women as the suspects from last month’s burglary spree in the Western part of the county.  Deputies in Colfax received a tip from the Clarkston Police Department Friday involving a similar burglary spree that occurred around the same time out of Benewah County in Idaho.  Those break-ins were allegedly linked to 2 Clarkston women.  Whitman County Deputies reviewed video surveillance images and connected the 2 sprees to the same women.  They later reportedly recovered several stolen items at separate locations in the valley further strengthening their case.  Arrest warrants have been issued for 23 year old Christina Erlewine and 31 year old Justina Buffington.  The pair allegedly burglarized churches, schools and libraries in Western Whitman County during the early morning hours of the 24th.  Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Erlewine and Buffington are urged to contact the Whitman County Sheriff’s Office.
