Suspect from last Fall’s home invasion robbery near Pullman going to prison on his 40th and 41st felony convictions

41 felonies?!?!  From KQQQ:

One of the suspects from last Fall’s home invasion robbery South of Pullman is going to prison after being convicted of his 40th and 41st felonies.  41 year old Richard Hoffman of Spokane pleaded guilty Friday to 2 counts of burglary in Whitman County Superior Court.  Hoffman and 2 others allegedly forced their way into a home South of town in November, tied up the occupant and stole several items including the man’s pickup truck.  The truck was then used to try and ram into a building in Colfax in a failed burglary attempt there.  The victim’s property was later found in Spokane which allowed authorities to identify Hoffman and the 2 other suspects, 34 year old Heather Halseth and 31 year old Alvord Verley.  Charges are still pending against those 2 suspects.  Hoffman was initially wanted on an arrest warrant and was found weeks later in Hawaii and extradited back to Colfax.  Whitman County Prosecutor Denis Tracy notes that Hoffman’s 41 felony convictions are the most he has ever seen for a defendant during his 26 years working in Whitman County Superior Court.
