BuzzFeed is risking violating FTC rules after misleading viewers with political ads paid for by liberal super PACs.
Reports Monday said the entertainment news site partnered exclusively with liberal super PACs in 2016 to target users with several political ads.
FTC rules state paid material seeking to influence the decisions of viewers must be labeled as an advertisement.
However, a recent investigation revealed BuzzFeed ran 32 political ads in 2016 without proper labeling, and designed them to look like standard entertainment articles.
Despite the evidence, the company is denying accusations of political bias.
