According to new data from the Brewers Association, the number of breweries in the United States reached an all-time record high of 5,005 as of the end of November. Almost all (99%) of those 5,005 breweries are small and independent craft beer makers, and the Brewers Association projects continued 8% growth for these small breweries, which are the “bright spot for the domestic beer market.” Not surprisingly, IPA styles of beers represent 25% of the craft beer volume. In my personal opinion, IPA beers are the apotheosis and epitome of high-quality beer, and represent the very best of what drinking beer is all about!
