They raised it to just under $10 million, so it would sound reasonable.

Voters in Moscow will consider a bond issue in May to pay for a long planned for new police station.  Plans for a new police station in Moscow have been discussed for decades.  City council unanimously approved placing a ten-year 9.64 million dollar bond measure on the May ballot during its meeting Tuesday night.

If approved it would raise Moscow property taxes by 85 dollars per 100,000 dollars of assessed value.  7.7 million dollars would be used to build a new police station on the South end of town.  1.5 million dollars would be used to renovate the old police station into office space for the city’s Engineering and Community Development department.  132,000 dollars would be spent on remodeling the Mann Building next to city hall into an office for the city’s Information Services department.
