Integrity

The following Letter to the Editor ran in today’s Moscow-Pullman Daily News

Crispin Thompson holds the sign for his parents during the Defund Planned Parenthood Protest Saturday morning in Pullman.

As president of Moscow Right-to-Life, I would like to express my appreciation to all who attended the annual March for Life on Saturday, Jan. 21, to uphold the dignity of human life from conception to natural death, and especially to Pastor Toby Sumpter of Trinity Reformed Church in Moscow who spoke at the rally.

I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to Daily News reporter Shanon Quinn who reported some of the details of the march as well as interviewing some of the participants. We hear much in the national media about “fake news” and inaccurate reporting. We truly are blessed to have local reporters with integrity as evidenced by the articles Shanon produced on that day.

As she reported, we had over 100 people at the beginning of the march at Logos. I wish she could have been at the rally in Friendship Square where our counters reported close to 400 people. However, anyone who did read the front pages of the Jan. 23 Daily News will note that she covered three very large events. I’m hoping the participants of those events will also compliment her on the excellent job she did covering a number of large and diverse events with fairness and integrity.
