Hillary’s Former Spox: Reporters Lean Left, But ‘Come After Dems Harder’
Hillary Clinton’s former campaign communications director said Wednesday that the mainstream media leans left, but argued that the stance actually makes things tougher on Democrats. Jennifer Palmieri, speaking at an event at Washington D.C.’s Newseum, said “most journalists are probably leaning more to the left than the right.”

At a Q-and-A alongside former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer, she recalled many reporters during the 2000 campaign raised the issue of high gas prices.
She recalled arguing that the same questions would not be asked of George W. Bush and that reporters seemed to apply a different standard to the Democrat.
“They were like, ‘Well, no, because he’s a Republican, he doesn’t think that he should weigh in and fix gas prices, but you’re Democrats, you’re supposed to solve problems,’” said Palmieri, who also served as Barack Obama’s White House communications director from 2013 to 2015.
