Clarkston teen’s bad driving weekend in Whitman County ends with eluding arrest

This is someone who cannot learn the lesson the first time. Or the fifth time…

A Clarkston teenager was ticketed several times over the weekend for traffic violations before she ended up in the Whitman County Jail for eluding.  The incidents began Saturday night when 19-year-old Rachael Doty received a ticket from the Colfax Police Department for a traffic infraction.  On Sunday morning Doty was stopped by the Washington State Patrol for speeding on US Highway 195 near Colfax.  She was cited an hour later by another trooper for negligent driving near Pullman on US195.

On Sunday afternoon a trooper tried to stop Doty on US195 for speeding.  Doty reportedly failed to pull over and sped through Colfax at 60 MPH.  The chase allegedly reached speeds of almost 100 MPH as the pursuit continued North of Colfax.  Doty eventually stopped near Pape Machinery on US195.  She was arrested for felony eluding.  The Whitman County Sheriff’s Office and the Colfax Police Department assisted with the pursuit.
