Is it just me, or does it seem our area has a higher rate than usual for these kinds of (alleged) creeps?
The Moscow Police Department arrested a 19-year-old Moscow man Monday for multiple charges including sexual abuse of a child, video voyeurism and simple battery.
Joshua Barta attended his initial appearance in Latah County Magistrate Court on Wednesday. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 26.
He was being held on a $25,000 bond in Latah County Jail as of Thursday.
Barta was arrested for alleged incidents involving a juvenile girl. Barta allegedly took a video of her while she was taking a shower. The victim also told police he allegedly assaulted her on two occasions within the past two years, including one incident where he wrapped a karate belt around her neck.
