The suspended University of Idaho football player accused of shoplifting from the Moscow Walmart has pleaded guilty. Charles Akanno entered the plea to attempted misdemeanor petit theft Tuesday afternoon in Latah County Court. Akanno was initially charged with misdemeanor theft for stealing several items from the store in February. Akanno was ordered to pay a 255$ fine. The redshirt freshman linebacker was suspended indefinitely by Head Coach Paul Petrino when he was arrested by Moscow Police. No word yet from Vandal athletics sports information director on Akanno’s current status with the team. He was arrested with former Idaho football player Chris Hunter who faced similar allegations of shoplifting from the Moscow Walmart.
