Someone in Latah County buys $1M Powerball ticket

Well, that’s unusual.

Thanksgiving just got a little bit sweeter for one lucky person who purchased a winning Powerball ticket worth $1 million in Latah County.

According to the Idaho Lottery, a winning ticket that matched all five of the first numbers from last night’s $139.9 million Powerball draw was confirmed to be sold in the county. The ticket is worth $1 million.

The winning numbers were 07, 14, 23, 38, 55 and the Powerball was 18.

“We are encouraging everyone who played Powerball for last night’s draw to check their tickets carefully for winners,” said Idaho Lottery Director Jeff Anderson. “Too often we see players not match the Powerball and think they do not have a winning ticket. In this case, the ticket matched all five of the first numbers, which makes it a $1 million winner.”

The Idaho Lottery encourages the winner to sign the back of their ticket before presenting it for payment. The winner has 180 days to claim their prize from Idaho Lottery headquarters in Boise.
