Record cold week in Twin Cities

Not just for a day, but for an entire week.

“Tonight on TV. KARE channel 11 weather it was said that Nov 7th thru 13th, 2018, was the coldest 7-day period on record for the inclusive dates for the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN),” says reader Don Wilkening.

“I could not find any back up in print,” says Don, “but the link takes you to the print out from the Nat Weather service Twin cities. Look at the temp departure from normal. Also look at the ave temp departure.”

The print out shows huge departures from normal (in Fahrenheit):

minus 11 on the 7th,
minus 14 on the 8th,
minus 20 on the 9th,
minus 22 on the 10th,
minus 13 on the 11th,
minus 20 on the 12th,
and minus 21 on the 13th.
