Preliminary hearing rescheduled for teen suspects in killing

The preliminary hearing for two teenagers allegedly involved in the killing of an 18-year-old Pullman man was rescheduled in order for them to undergo further psychological evaluation.
 
Matthew Jeremy McKetta, 18, of Moscow, and Keagan Clayton Tennant, 17, of Pullman, were slated to appear in the Latah County 2nd District Court at 1 p.m. Tuesday for their suspected involvement in Timothy Jacob Reeves’ death and attempted cover-up. Their new hearing is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Aug. 31.
 
Tennant is currently charged with crimes that, if convicted, could lead to 60 years to life in prison and a fine of $230,000; McKetta is charged with crimes that, if convicted, could lead to 35 years to life and a fine of $180,000.
Both will remain in the custody of the Latah County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
