Moscow Code Enforcement Officer Patty Riedl is asking residents to stay away from the pair of moose in Moscow’s East City Park.

Riedle said the moose are becoming agitated and aggressive toward people and dogs. The moose apparently charged a woman who was walking a dog this morning, and charged another dog that was let off it’s leash in the park.

Update from KQQQ

One of the moose that’s been wintering in Moscow charged a woman Tuesday morning.  Moscow Police got a call around 8:30 from the woman who said she was charged by a cow in East City Park while she was walking her dog.  The cow was in the park with a calf.  Idaho Fish and Game has been notified.  Moscow Police want to remind residents to keep an eye out for the moose so you don’t startle them and to stay clear of the large animals.  The moose have been wandering primarily around the East part of town this Winter.
