Another flashback to 2005 when Linda Pall voted with the über-liberals to ban large retail stores in Moscow.
We had to get rid of Pall, Aaron Ament, and Nancy Chaney to bring Moscow back to economic sanity.
Via the 22 June 2005 edition of the Moscow-Pullman Daily News. The context is the moratorium on large retailers:
Mayor Marshall Comstock, on the other hand, said those things can be accomplished without a moratorium.
“I’m against a moratorium,” he said. “It paints Moscow as being anti-business and anti-growth, which is frustrating. I think we can look at putting some additional requirements on large scale retailers without a moratorium.”
Council members Dickinson, Nancy Chaney and Linda Pall passed a motion Monday night to put together an ordinance that would place a six-month ban on stores of more than 20,000 square feet.
Banning economic development. Linda Pall insists that this is not an anti-business position. Uh-huh.
