Letter: Good news about Trump

Bill Tozer is taking on the Daily News’ partisan reporting.

Because of this newspaper’s seeming inability to find anything positive to say about the Trump administration, I offer the following good news which has been mostly absent from these pages:

  • The stock market is soaring, lifting millions of retirement accounts with it.
  • Consumer confidence is at its highest level in 17 years.
  • Unemployment is at its lowest rate in 17 years.
  • Manufacturing is on the rise.
  • Productivity is rising.
  • The welfare state, which grew by almost 20 percent during the last administration, is turning around.
  • The Mideastern ISIS JV team, which President Barack Obama could never overcome, is now on the ropes.
  • Illegal immigration has dropped precipitously without an inch of border wall being constructed.
  • Home prices, normally American’s largest asset, are at an all-time high.
  • Concurrently, home ownership is at its highest level in three years.
  • The trade deficit is shrinking.
  • Instead of kicking the can farther down the road, the U.S. is confronting North Korean and Iranian nuclear weapons ambitions.
  • The veil has fallen that has protected the sex and drug addicted cesspool in Hollywood, that bastion of wisdom concerning climate change, immigration, diversity and human rights, unless of course you are a young actor or actress seeking a movie role. In that case, you must surrender your dignity to whichever Hillary-supporting power broker wants to have at you.
  • Women everywhere are being emboldened to speak up and get out from under the thumbs of abusers.
  • With some recent indictments Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller is helping Donald Trump drain the swamp.
  • Despite our nationwide attempt to ban him from the public square, our schools and our personal lives, Jesus still reigns as the king of kings and lord of lords.
