Polar bears are supposedly starving because Arctic sea ice has declined by 50 percent in the last 30 years.
The white area shows Arctic sea-ice extent as of January, 2018.
The magenta line shows the 30-year median sea-ice extent for January.
It doesn’t take a PhD to see that’s no where close to 50% ice reduction.
