A CNN investigation has revealed, though, that at least 103 Uber drivers in the US have been accused of and sued over sexual assault and abuse over the past four years.
It got me thinking: how many conventional taxi drivers have also been accused of sexual assault?

The number of alleged sexual assaults committed by taxi or minicab drivers has risen by 20 per cent in three years, figures show. At least 337 assaults were reported between April 2016 and March 2017 in England and Wales – up from 282 in 2014-15.
So in England alone, there were 337 sexual assaults by taxi drivers in one year. And the media focuses on 103 by Uber drivers over the course of four years.
