The Whitman County Sheriff’s Office now believes that Monday morning’s alleged armed robbery at a Pullman area marijuana store was an “inside job.”  Deputies have arrested the man who claimed to have been the victim and are accusing him of taking part in the heist.

42-year-old Jeremy West of Troy was arrested on a warrant at his home Thursday night.  The Latah County sheriff’s office assisted with the apprehension on the Whitman County warrant for 1st degree theft.

West is the manager of the Bud Hut.  He told deputies on Monday that he was robbed at gunpoint and that the suspect stole his vehicle.

Deputies now say that West and the armed robbery suspect 21-year-old Kody Schneider of Moscow are close friends and that West helped stage robbery.

Schneider has been extradited back to Washington to face a 1st degree robbery charge in Whitman County Superior Court.  West is in the Latah County Jail in Moscow awaiting extradition back to Colfax.
