Iowa woman battling terminal illness fights for access to experimental drug

I’m not a fan of the FDA’s strangle-hold on medications. 

They are slow and bureaucratic, and when people have reached all FDA approved resources, they are told “sorry, go die.” 

An Iowa woman, who is battling a terminal illness, is reaching out to President Trump for help getting a potentially life-saving drug.

“People who are terminally ill should not have to go from country to country to seek a cure — I want to give them a chance right here at home.” –President Donald J. Trump

Jaci Hermstad was diagnosed with an aggressive form of ALS, or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, in February. The 25-year-old lost her twin sister to the disease back in 2011 after it attacked her nervous system.
