A federal judge accused Special Counsel Robert Mueller of overstepping his authority during a court hearing for former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort.
During Friday’s hearing, U.S. District Court Judge T.S. Ellis accused Mueller’s team of lying about the scope of the Russia investigation.
The judge accused the special counsel of using Manafort as a pawn to try and bring impeachment charges against the president.
He also demanded to see the un-redacted memo outlining the scope of the Special Counsel’s Russia probe, which congressional Republicans have also sought.
The judge has given Mueller’s team two weeks to produce the memo.
