Study says Latah County economy growing slowly

The Moscow-Pullman Daily News reports that Latah Country ranks 10th among Idaho’s 44 counties in dollar growth from 2012 to 2015. 

Latah County, Idaho’s 10th largest, also ranks 10th among the state’s 44 counties in gross domestic product growth from 2012 to 2015, according to a study by New York financial technology company SmartAsset.

Latah’s GDP grew $88 million during the three-year span, the study said. It said Ada County, the state’s largest county, is first with a $1.2 billion growth during the three years.

Latah experienced a 2 percent growth in business establishments during the three years, which is good enough for 22nd in the state. Teton County leads the state with an 11.9 percent growth in businesses.
