Greater Moscow Alliance: Vote for Incumbents

Endorsements tied to positive economic report

Pointing to Moscow’s recent positive economic report card, the Greater Moscow Alliance is endorsing all the incumbents in Moscow’s upcoming Mayoral and City Council election on November 7.

Mayor Bill Lambert and city councilmen Walter Steed, Art Bettge, Gina Taruscio, and John Weber all get the nod from the pro-business group.

“Steve Peterson’s economic study documented a remarkable turnaround from the direction this city was headed just four years ago,” said GMA President Bob Hieronymus. “Moscow’s pro-business climate is paying dividends, so why change things? We’re for keeping our current Mayor and City Council in office.”

The positive news? Moscow’s cumulative employment growth rate over the past five years is 7 percent. Over the 10 years prior to the last Mayoral election, the rate was a negative 4.3 percent, according to the study by local economists Steven Peterson and Tim Nadreau.

The Greater Moscow Alliance promotes economic growth in Moscow conducive with our quality of life and the principles of the free market and private property. To learn more about the GMA, or to see The Analysis of the Economic Growth of Moscow and the Regional Economy, visit www.greatermoscow.org.
